There are some persons that feel attracted to intensive training formats where a lot of teorical and practical content is given in a short period of time. This tuition format is quite interesting for those who live far away and aren’t able to come to the Dojo on a frequent basis.
There are also people that even when they don’t live geographically far from our Dojo, they like to receive information in an intensive way. These workshops proposal comprehends four correlative levels of four hours duration each. In them you’ll be taught from shibari basics to the performing of suspensions in the last level. Both practical ant theoretical concepts are given in the workshops so to provide the student the needed and basic knowledge to let him enjoy shibari while avoiding any mistakes that may lead to injuring the rope model.
Workshops are a more shortened concept than Dojo clases due to time and frequency matters. Because of this it is more focused on safety and “where the rope goes” than the energetic interchange that Dojo classes focus on. As I always say, you need to learn where rope goes to handle the energetic flow of the ropes, but also you have to train hard on how to manage the rope movement, attitude and other stuff that takes a long time of practice under the close supervision of your Sensei (so to correct your mistakes) to achieve. This helps you create a repetition practice and avoids bad practices to stuck in your way of tying. Workshops will work for people with an elevated focus capacity and able to absorb knowledge and practice what they’re taught once and again at home so to be able to successfully pass next level’s requirements exam.
