I’m just a passionate shibari practitioner from Buenos Aires Argentina who had the opportunity to travel and dedicate some time to try to learn more about myself and rope. Yukinaga Max sensei and Tina warmly received me at Copenhagen Shibari Dojo where I comfortably stayed and helped me find models for all my classes. They’ve welcomed and accepted me as a dojo member free of charge and without any contemplations about my binding style or skills. As so, I was also kindly invited to join all the dojo ordinary classes where I met lots of wonderful people who were studying or helping them as instructors in Osada-Ryu.
Classes with Yukinaga Max sensei were planed and scheduled specifically on what I’ve asked for. Tina was always helping… specially if there was anything that could not be understood because of language issues. I think that their combination in class is very effective because the student not only receives professional guidance on shibari techniques but also have the opportunity to enrich the experience by asking Tina things that only a very well skilled rope model would know.
They’ve really taught me much more that I’ve ever expected to receive. Their generous hospitality was extended by inviting me to attend a newaza workshop at another nice place called Smil. These extraordinary past days at the dojo have been the most pleasant and intense experience as I not only learned about shibari/kinbaku and ki-harimasu, but also had the chance to bond, meet and train side by side very interesting and lovely people. Although it was all very hard work, because I’ve asked for it to be that way, I enjoyed myself like crazy every single day.
I think anyone that’s into ropes couldn’t ever ask for more 😉
Thank you Yukinaga Max Sensei and Tina from Copenhagen Shibari Dojo!
